John Gagliano runs Roof Defend USA out of Ponchatoula. He flies the drone himself, writes the quote himself, and answers the phone himself. When you call (504) 250-6065, that is who picks up.
He has been doing roofs long enough to know that the fastest way to lose a customer is to tell them they need something they do not. That is the whole reason the inspection is free and the photographs are yours. If your roof is fine, you find out it is fine and nobody has spent anything.
The drone is not a gimmick
John holds an FAA Part 107 certificate, the commercial drone pilot rating. It is a real qualification with real rules attached, separate from anything to do with roofing.
Some airspace on the Northshore is controlled, and when a property sits inside it he gets FAA authorization first or he does not fly it. Other operators skip that step and fly anyway. That is the line between a professional operation and somebody with a hobby drone, and it is the reason the photographs you get are worth something.
Equipment and the trailer
The work runs off a branded trailer, a long hose reel and a thirty foot ladder, which covers most of what a Northshore roof needs without a crew of six standing in your driveway.
What we do
Maintenance while a roof is still sound, repairs when something has gone wrong, and full reroofing when a roof is genuinely finished. Across the Northshore, starting with a drone inspection every time.
How he got into it
His own roof needed help. John heard a radio ad for a roof treatment, started researching the industry, and ended up in the business himself. He thought insurers would love it and the business would, in his words, "do a moon shot. Well, nothing is easy in business, right."
